KYC IS ONE TIME EXERCISE

  • KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation is a one-time exercise while dealing in securities markets
  • If you have already completed KYC with any SEBI registered intermediary, you need not undergo the same process again when you approach Sapphire Broking
  • Update your KYC information whenever there is a change in the details provided earlier

NO NEED TO ISSUE CHEQUES BY INVESTORS WHILE SUBSCRIBING TO IPO

  • No need to issue cheques by investors while subscribing to IPO
  • Just write the bank account number and sign in the application form to authorize your bank to make payment in case of allotment
  • No worries for refund as the money remains in investor's account

PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS IN YOUR ACCOUNT

  • Update your mobile numbers/email IDs with Sapphire Broking
  • Receive information of your transactions directly from Exchange on your mobile/email at the end of the day
  • Verify the authenticity of every SMS/email related to your trades before taking action
  • If you notice any discrepancy in your account, report it immediately to Sapphire's customer support

PREVENT FRAUD: UPDATE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER AND EMAIL ID WITH YOUR STOCK BROKER

  • Do not keep financial details in your email/mobile that can be used to access your trading account
  • Update your contact information promptly when changed
  • Regularly review your account statements and trade confirmations
  • Ensure your device has updated security software

REGISTER YOUR COMPLAINT ON SEBI SCORES PORTAL

  • Register your complaints against Sapphire Broking or any other SEBI registered intermediary on SEBI SCORES portal (https://scores.gov.in)
  • For any grievances, first approach Sapphire Broking's designated grievance officer
  • If not satisfied with the resolution, you can escalate to the relevant stock exchange
  • SEBI SCORES should be approached if your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily by the stock exchange

DEALING WITH AUTHORIZED PERSONS/SUB-BROKERS

  • Sapphire Broking may appoint Authorized Persons (APs) in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Verify if an AP is registered with Sapphire Broking by checking our website or contacting customer support
  • Do not deal with unregistered intermediaries
  • All payments and securities should be transferred only to/from Sapphire Broking's designated accounts, not to any AP's account

ADDITIONAL SURVEILLANCE MEASURE (ASM) & GRADED SURVEILLANCE MEASURE (GSM)

  • Exchanges regularly flag securities under ASM and GSM frameworks for increased surveillance
  • Trading in these securities may involve higher margin requirements and other restrictions
  • Exercise caution while trading in securities placed under these surveillance measures

UPI MECHANISM FOR PUBLIC ISSUES

  • Use UPI (Unified Payment Interface) to invest in public issues (IPOs, Rights Issues, etc.)
  • Ensure your UPI ID is linked with your bank account and is 2FA protected
  • Verify all UPI mandate requests carefully before approving
  • Authenticate the mandate request only when you have applied for the public issue

BE CAUTIOUS OF FICTITIOUS CALLS/MESSAGES/OFFERS

  • Sapphire Broking never solicits funds or securities through unauthorized channels
  • Be cautious of unsolicited investment advice through calls/SMS/emails
  • Sapphire does not offer portfolio management services or assured returns

PROTECT AGAINST SHORT/NON-RECEIPT OF FUNDS OR SECURITIES

  • In case of disputes regarding short/non-receipt of funds or securities, first contact Sapphire's customer support
  • If not resolved, approach the concerned stock exchange with complete details
  • Keep all evidence of your transactions, communications, and payment records
  • Time-bound reporting increases chances of resolution

RUNNING ACCOUNT AUTHORIZATION

  • Running Account Authorization is not mandatory
  • It allows Sapphire to maintain your funds/securities to meet your trading requirements
  • The authorization is valid for a maximum period of one year at a time
  • You have the right to revoke this authorization at any time

INACTIVE/DORMANT ACCOUNTS

  • Trading accounts with no transactions for 12 months are marked as "Inactive" or "Dormant"
  • To reactivate, you need to submit a request with necessary documents as per the regulatory requirements
  • Sapphire may levy charges for maintaining/reactivating dormant accounts as per the schedule of charges

MARGIN FUNDING/PLEDGING OF SHARES

  • Margin funding involves pledge of client securities with the clearing corporation
  • Carefully read the terms and conditions of the margin funding facility
  • Obtain mandatory quarterly/monthly statement of funds and securities
  • Any disputes regarding such statements must be raised within 7 working days

RISKS RELATED TO TRADING IN DERIVATIVES

  • Derivatives trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors
  • Only risk capital should be used for derivatives trading
  • Understanding of derivatives products is essential before trading
  • Higher leverage can lead to larger profits as well as larger losses
